This is is so true. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this to myself. Geesh, I’ve probably created the internal Sierra Nevada many times over and I can assure you it lacks the awesome views, and feels more like a three wheeled cart on a precarious mountain pass. For many of us, any fear or doubt grabs our metaphorical shovels and starts to dig and throw dirt right into our own pathway. We think of every reason something won’t work or is a stupid plan or will prove too much at the wrong time. To an unsettled mind, a speck of doubt becomes a kernel of truth and before many of us know it, our doubting mind is off to the races.
The amazing things we deserve to achieve, that the Universe gave us the tools to achieve are suddenly miles — mountain covered miles at that- away. All the energy we once had for this moment of greatness gets gassed out like a runner’s pull at the end of the race. Exhausted, either mentally or physically or both, we stop just short. Believe me, I am not speaking from a place of judgement or condemnation, but rather experience, and more than once at that. I have literally been working on driving for 16 years. Talk about a mental mountain, I’ve gotta have one of the best. The size of Gibraltar built one teaspoon of fear, guilty and phobia at a time.
And so, in my encouragement to you, I speak to myself as well. Do your best to breathe. To meditate on the results you do want. To take time to acknowledge the universe, and in it your specific and greater destiny. No one sets out and says let me be average. Just good enough. Remember, even though you may not see it, the Universe saw that you were essential and key to the future. THIS FUTURE.
BREATHE. DROP THE SPOON. VISUALIZE YOUR GREATNESS. ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER. TOMMORROW : AWAKE AND REPEAT.
